PERIOD SHAME

... is the nr 1 reason for why women improperly dispose sanitary products. 85% of women admit that they choose to ignore the harmful impacts on the environment and flush menstrual products down the toilet so that other's don't see it in the trash.  As a result, 2.5 million tampons and 700,000 sanitary

pads are flushed down the toilet everyday. Sanitary products should never be flushed down the toilet and end up polluting the ocean and harming animal life. Instead of trying to change current customer behaviors, why not rethink the way we interact with sanitary products all together to solve the painpionts?  Women should never have to worry about whether there is a trash 

bin accessible, nor should she be forced to dispose her sanitary products openly. Since women clearly feel the most comfortable with disposing sanitary products into the toilet, why not design a product that allows them to do so? After all, a woman will dispose over 11,000 menstrual products in her life time so let's make it a convenient and positive experience for her, every single time.
